Microneedling

Treatment

Microneedling uses a precise device to create fine, controlled micro-channels in the skin, prompting its natural repair process. Over a planned course it supports smoother texture, more even tone and a fresher-looking surface. At MT Aesthetics it is performed by Marie, our Registered Nurse, with depth and technique matched to your skin at consultation.

How it works

The skin responds to those micro-channels the way it responds to any tiny injury: by repairing. That repair process is what microneedling recruits, encouraging the skin to renew itself from within rather than relying on anything applied to the surface.

  • Needle depth and pass pattern are adjusted to your skin and the area treated.
  • Usually planned as a course of sessions spaced several weeks apart.
  • Commonly considered for texture, tone and skin freshness; your consultation confirms whether it suits your skin and your goals.

What to expect afterwards

Skin is typically red and warm for a day or so, a little like mild sunburn, sometimes with light flaking as it settles. Makeup is usually paused briefly and sun protection matters more than ever. Full aftercare is explained in person, and results vary from person to person.

Frequently asked

Does microneedling hurt?

A numbing cream is applied first, and most people describe the sensation as odd rather than painful. Comfort is checked throughout the session.

How many sessions do I need?

Texture change is cumulative, so it is planned as a course rather than a single session. Your consultation lays out a realistic plan for your skin.

Can it be combined with other treatments?

Often, yes. Microneedling pairs sensibly with several skin treatments, and sequencing matters. That planning is exactly what the consultation is for.
