Microdermabrasion

Treatment

Microdermabrasion is a mechanical exfoliation that gently lifts away the dull outer layer of the skin, leaving the surface smoother, brighter and better at drinking in skincare. It is a dependable classic: comfortable, quick and with no real downtime, which makes it an easy first step into professional skin care.

What a session looks like

After a cleanse, a small handpiece passes methodically across the skin, exfoliating and vacuuming away the dull surface layer as it goes. It feels like a firm, slightly scratchy massage, oddly satisfying rather than uncomfortable.

  • Around half an hour, start to finish.
  • Pairs beautifully with LED light therapy as a calming, skin-freshening finish.
  • A sensible regular booking for keeping skin smooth between bigger treatments.

What to expect afterwards

Skin can be lightly pink for an hour or two and feels noticeably smoother straight away. Sun protection matters afterwards, as with any exfoliating treatment. Results are freshest in the days following and build with regular sessions; results vary from person to person.

Frequently asked

Microdermabrasion or a peel: which should I pick?

They get to similar places by different roads: microdermabrasion is mechanical and instant-refresh, peels are chemical and more adjustable in depth. If you are unsure, book the consultation and let Marie match one to your skin.

Does it hurt?

No. Most people describe it as a firm, scratchy-but-pleasant sensation. It is one of the gentler treatments on the menu.

Can I add LED?

Yes, and it is a lovely pairing: microdermabrasion first to clear the surface, LED after as a calm, quiet finish.
