Concerns
Pigmentation and sun damage
Lakeside life is generous with sunshine, and Australian skin carries the record: sun spots, uneven patches and marks left behind by old breakouts. Pigment is one concern where careful assessment genuinely matters, because different pigment behaves differently, and the wrong approach can make some types worse. At MT Aesthetics it starts with Marie assessing your skin properly.
Why assessment comes first
Surface sun spots, deeper patches (like melasma, which is famously stubborn and heat-sensitive) and post-inflammatory marks each respond to different care, and a treatment that brightens one can aggravate another. A nurse-led assessment sorts out which you have before your skin is asked to do anything. Where something needs a GP's eye first, Marie will say so plainly.
How we approach it
Plans for suitable pigment concerns are usually built around professionally-matched peels, microneedling and consistent home care, with LED as gentle support. Daily sun protection is the non-negotiable foundation; without it, no pigment plan holds. Progress is gradual and honest, reviewed as your skin responds. Results vary from person to person.
Frequently asked
Can pigmentation be removed completely?
Honest answer: it depends on the type, and some pigment (especially melasma) is managed rather than erased. Marie will tell you which yours is likely to be at consultation, before you spend anything.
Why do you keep mentioning sunscreen?
Because pigment is light-driven. Treat it in clinic and skip protection outside, and it returns. Daily SPF is the cheapest, most effective part of any pigment plan.
How booking works
Consultation-first, always
Your care is designed to respect TGA and AHPRA guidance, with the same high standard of service throughout. For any medical aesthetic concern you start with a consultation, so your plan is built around you, honestly and in person.
